There are lots of companies and people out there doing their thing for Japan and that is great but Goodjoe donates money from every t-shirt sale to some charity or other anyway. Basically Goojoe are good folk. Their aim with this tee, is to raise $1000 to help those in need after the Great East Japan Earthquake 2011, I think that’s what it’ll be called anyway. Depending on what TV station you watch it’ll have a different name. I think NHK, the official broadcaster of Japan, is calling it the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake.
Anyway, according to an email I just received from Goodjoe, they are already half way to their target and that is on pre-order alone. Hopefully they will continue to raise money for this charity after they reach their target. They are just $12 on pre-order through March 28th.
As you can see the tee is pretty cool and very wearable. The elements of the design were created by 12 different artists. Thanks guys. Here is a bit of copy and paste from the Goodjoe site.
On March 11, 2011, the north coast of Japan was hit by a horrible tsunami after an 8.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred 80 miles offshore. Goodjoe and our passionate community of artists have collaborated to bring you the Flying in Unity t-shirt to raise funds and to inspire others to contribute in whatever way they can. Each of the participating artists created a crane or a bird as a positive thought to send toward the people affected by this disaster. Inspiration from Paper Cranes for Japan
100% of the proceeds will be donated directly to GlobalGiving.org’s Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. Our goal is to raise $1000 and we will report the results of our fundraising efforts at the end of this two week campaign.
This is a great job done by you Goodjoe. I go through this shirt sales, it is really nice.
