I meant to talk about this new initiative by Threadless a couple of weeks ago when the Lim Heng Swee (ilovedoodle) and David Fleck (fleck) Made By pages were announced. But as you may or may not know I was busy moving from Ireland back to Japan after a 6 month break. On top of that I moved to a new location in Japan and found a new job. Busy.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago Threadless announced this Made By thing where they pick out a designer/artist that has been popular on Threadless and make him/her even more famous by giving them their own page on Threadless. On top of that they printed some of their submitted designs and I think there were a few reprints in their too. All in all it could mean a sizable paycheck for these artists.

Threadless seems to look for ways in which to make their artists richer and that is one of the reasons I love them. There are currently 4 artists in the Made By lineup but I am sure it will expand quite a lot over this year. I actually have my own Made By series going on over at the Shirt List which includes lists of t-shirts by artists regardless of which online shop their designs are printed on.
