I don’t mention Shirt.Woot! all that much but they do have some pretty cool shirts and also some very cool themed t-shirt contests called Derbys. A recent Derby was called one word and produced some very cool typography t-shirts.

The first place winner was the above t-shirt which spells out curiosity in the chalked outline of cats. It’s very convenient that there are nine letters in the word curiosity. Did curiosity kill the cat? I don’t know but it appears that it lost all 9 lives at the same time.

I don’t really get this t-shirt but it reminds me of Bambi for obvious reasons and then there is the Spielberg movie Always. Yes, I am basically playing an association game. The artwork for the 2nd place winner is by stardamsel.

The third one is appropriately the weakest of the three designs. It’s apparently not just my opinion either. It has the word READ created with tiny clip art like images. Artwork by ramyb.
