I think there are a couple of t-shirt trading sites out there already. In fact I’m sure I came across a couple of them already but TEEincarnation (re-incarnation for tees?) adds a new element to that idea by providing a platform to auction off your unwanted t-shirts. Might be useful for me as I have many. It’s a very new site (I guess) and as of writing there are only 6 t-shirts listed, two from Threadless, one of which I already have. It costs 25cents to list your shirt and I guess if you make a sale you have to pay 3.5% of the sale price. There are other services like t-shirt swaps and lots of advertising opportunities which may be valuable when or if the site gets a lot of traffic.
The idea is fine but the business model is very limited (just t-shirts) so I can easily see this site going nowhere which would be a pity I guess. To be honest though, while I may try sell my t-shirts on TEEincarnation I have no real interest in buying a t-shirt from a private individual. On the other hand I knwo that there are people out there who really want a particular t-shirt and this may be one of the few options for them to find that hard to get t-shirt.
I didn’t see the option for people to list t-shirts they wanted but if they had this it might increase traffic and interest in their service.
