British t-shirt design competition site, Fair & Bare, which only prints on Fairtrade cotton has a special competition at the moment where, on top of a £200 cash prize (and possibly royalties), you will also get your hands on a nice juicy copy of Adobe Photoshop CS3. I wouldn’t mind getting it myself as I am still using Photoshop CS. And yes, that’s British pounds, so I imagine it’s approximately US$400 which is a pretty decent prize.
I’ve had my eye on this store since there was only one item (Tree huggin’ by Wotto) for sale. Truth be told, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of activity over there. Currently there are only 4 designs for sale as t-shirts and only 2 waiting to be scored. Hopefully this competition will attract a few designers but on the other hand I guess most designers already have Photoshop CS3 or perhaps even cs4. It would make a great gift though at it is still being sold for $649 at Amazon.com. Also the fact that there are not many submissions should increase your chances of winning.
The t-shirts cost from pounds each which is a little more than most of the contest sites but when you factor in that it uses Fair Trade cotton it is probably a bargain. Thinking about it a little more, £12 to £16 is probably pretty standard in the UK.
Hey, thanks for covering us. Thumbs up from me.
I don’t know if makes much of a difference to your readers, but it’s actually the Windows Extended Edition we’re giving away – That’s $999 apparently at Amazon 🙂
I’m afraid that £200 is only around $300 now… stupid undervalued & weak Sterling.
Wow. I didn’t know. But I think sterling had been overinflated for too long. The financial crisis maybe bringing a bit of reality to the world.
